Does anyone know a nice venue for a wedding ceremony in BKK?

Could be a Hotel or other venue.. We want a western ceremony

Alternatively does anyone know a Ferang (Priest) staying in BKK that can marry us if we find a venue?

Any help is most appreciated

If you have all the correct paperwork then there are many places available, I went to a lovely place but mine was Thai styled.

The best bet is to look at the hotel websites some of them do wedding packages if that is what you want.

The are a wide variety of christian denominations represented in Bangkok. A simple Google should reveal all.

I don't think he wants all. Google produces About 415,000 results when you type wedding venue bangkok , I suspect he wanted some more local and helpful suggestions.

I had my wedding in Imperial Queeens Park on Sukhumvit 22 earlier this year. No complaints at all, the food was great, our wedding planner was attentive and was there on the night to make sure there were no hiccups.

First, I would ignore the advice given by poster FalangBaa. Sounds like he is speaking from bitter experience. If you are looking for a Catholic priest then you might want to check out the website for Holy Redeemer Church in Bangkok: www.holyredeemerbangkok.net Good luck.

That was a bold statement. "Holy Redeemer Church"... Is that the place where you can redeem all your coupons to get a nice discount on your nuptials? And I believe I heard it offers a package deal too: Buy one marriage and get the divorce at half price, for a limited time only.

while some of you have done some good research - they are NOT relevant to the OP's question

so I suggest you leave that there and do not continue this line of discussion.

to the OP - congratulations. there are a number of churches around Bangkok. I think it would be up to you to talk to the priest or pastor there to check what you need to have a ceremony in any of those places.

Ive seen a church at the end of Sukhumvit Soi2. they have enough space to also hold a small reception perhaps...in that case you need to find a caterer. there is also a church in Soi RuamRudee...

or have the ceremony at the church, and reception at a hotel around town (depending on your budget, and the kind of food you choose to serve - options include, buffet meals, cocktail (canapes, a sit down chinese banquet? western 3 course meal?)

While a bit strange sounding, photos later or before at the Dusit Zoo Lagoon. I thought it was very pretty. A hard sell for a group of any size, but just thought I would mention it.

The Marriott on the river do a very nice outdoor where u get off the boat and come up the ramp. It's incredibly inexpensive in comparison to the other riverside hotels. A friend of mine got ordained online so that he could marry his best mate - to a woman I hasten to add!

I think that is the reason y most of the farangs I know of converted to be Buddhist.

I m a Buddhist myself.

Don't really see farangs here going to church on Sundays.
