Thai School Books For 1. Grade Needed To Teach My Son

Featured Replies

Hi

Living abroad I was wondering, if there is any way, I can find the books used in Thai schools to teach 1st. graders in Thai? Last time I went to Thailand I found books for 4th. and 6th. grade for sale (forgot to look around for the books for 1. graders back then), but they are to hard to start with. The plan is to use the book(s) as a help for my Thai wife to teach my son the Thai curriculum for 1st. grade. Can you help?

Thanks!

Bob.

The main book store (under the Ministry of Education) for the selling of Thai language learner books is on Ratchadamnoern Road (near Kok Wua junction, Burger King end of Khao Sarn Road, next to Democracy Monument, impossible to miss) Thai language teachers from all over Bangkok/Thailand go there to buy books. When I teach Thai language myself, i often go there to purchase materials.

Any chance these books can be purchased online?

Go to

http://www.b2s.co.th/index.php

and use "ป.1" (without the quotes) in the search window. I get 7 pages of results, though I'm not sure if they ship internationally.

If you're mainly interested in reading, check out the Manee books online at:

They're no longer in print, but a great resource for learning to read Thai.
