PATTAYA:--An unusual discovery was made underneath the overpass leading to the Bali Hai Port in the early hours of Sunday.

Police were called to the southern-end of Pattaya Third Road, directly underneath the overpass, to inspect a badly damaged motorbike which appeared to have been pushed over the side of the overpass onto the road below.

The Red and Black Honda Wave motorbike was seen earlier on the bridge by witnesses and was being driven by a man who appeared to be encountering a problem with a gang of youths, who caught up with him and forced him off his bike. The man managed to escape and was picked up by a friend moments later, but the group are thought to have pushed his motorbike over the side barrier of the overpass at the conclusion of the encounter.

How long does it take to find the owner of a vehicle, when they have the licence number? Its shouldnt be rocket science to find out, isnt that what the number is for, or maybe just lucky number for the lottery!

I think you will find that the owner of the motorcycle wasn't the person responsible for throwing said motorcycle over the wall.

Finding the owner isn't going to solve the crime

Finding the victim would be a start...

For crying out loud somebody could have been killed or badly injured if it had landed on top of them.

Police officers in North America or Europe , get the name of a vehicle owner rapidly using their car computer ou calling the police

station if the computer is not in the police car. Car registry and police computer are linked for this information.

In Thailand, it seems that it is not possible. They may have to go to a longer process asking the Land Transport in Each Province to

provide the information. If someone on TV know a Thai Police officer they can provide a more precise answer.

There was an article about this a couple of year ago in an English speaking newspaper in Bangkok.

They had a project to provide registered owner to Bangkok Police officer using their mobile phone.....I do not know if this is still in force.

Open question again to TV users about this.
