Also went today, 2 ladys one very helpful but not good literner was on track to talk about some thing i was not interested in but still rabbited on about it. Would be nice to have a British person present. Just me and 1 other guy in there and i got served so to speak straight away. Guess it will be several attempts at going before i get it right. If theres 2 countries in th eworls that seem to love paper work its the UK and Thailand. To regisiter a babys birth i had to get to copies of my British passport, neither the hospital or City hall kept one of them, Now the joy of getting Thai things all translated back into English.

With the salaries on offer that's rather unlikely, as most Brits in Pattaya who could do the job wouldn't consider it for that sort of money - the funny thing is that although there are always people willing, competent and able to give up their time for nothing (as Barry and Howard did as Honorary Consuls, and as "Dolly" John did in the Consular Office), things are very different when it becomes a "9 to 5" paid job.
