you cant do it in Australia or America why would anyone think you can do it here.

"Because all Thai women are whores whose dignity doesn't matter" seems to be the response of a lot of the posters here.

Once again, the numpties are out in force making stupid comments about a topic they know nothing about, other than a news article by the most stalwart journalists on the planet and the BiB who we know only recruit officers of the highest integrity.

The man denied posting any pictures on the internet.

The woman claims there was a blackmail attempt.

What is more likely? That she sees a quick payday for making false allegations -or- the farang actually did it. Common sense tells me it's a scam, but what do I know.

Knowing the type of Western men who tend to hang around Pattaya, I'd say odds are about 50-50.

The woman allows explicit pictures taken of her, but says it destroyed her reputation when they were posted somewhere?

The moment such pictures are taken you know what can happen with them. Silly girl in the first place.

Guys, maybe the pictures were not in favor to her future business. What you see isn't always what you get wink.png

the girl may be scared her sponsor/s may see it, also if the police/thai authorities are so concerned, why don't

they shut down sites such as Pattaya Addicts and Secrets which publish porn pictures of the members pattaya conquests

systematically?

Here's one thing to consider....after reading this entire thread....has anybody ever

considered that the lady in question may be a professional model?

I'm married to one. Here's how it goes...clothed, bikini and "sexy" (can be nude

but hands, hair, objects etc must cover nipples & lower bits) pix are OK with the

wife. Home movies & topless are OK as long as I fully understand said footage

and pix never make it to the internet...I could easily end up missing a piece of

my anatomy and most likely end up paying her a lot more than 3 Mil Baht and

of course possiblysome jail time too boot.

Reason...Thai models, the "legit" ones anyway who work with agencies

such as Ford or Elite have a reputation to protect...that's why they earn

an excellent salary and get all those other job perks their Western

counterparts get.

Now if the lady in question isn't a professional or perhaps I should say;

a legit modeling agency model...and she reckons the girls who pose for

internet pictures get a lotta money...she's <deleted> dreaming. Simple nude

shoots, depending on the model start around 3500Baht for the shoot

which usually lasts about 2 hours. If the nude model has experience

of course she can command a higher modeling fee but 3 Million Baht

...Hah! Just sip satang from a pro photog who knows a bunch of models

of all persuasions.

Take it from one who was married to a top "legit" as you call it model, and also a top actress in feature films, that your head will probably be more comfortable when you pull it out of the sand. Working for 3500 baht for a couple of hours? Enjoy the perks like U.S. counterparts of Elite and Wilhelmina Models? You can't be serious. Even the average girls at the top modeling agencies have minimums twenty to fifty times that and they don't work by the hour because two hours or ten hours, the day is shot and there is no time to book another job on the same day. Having worked in that industry as a photographer for enough decades to know, those girls don't do anything like you have described. Partial nudity? Sure, in the context of a shoot for a bonafide client and always in the presence of a professional staff. Posing for some guy with hands covering vital spots with the promise they won't be posted on the Internet? OMG, a little coffee is in order.

Well, now that is plausible isn't? A blackmall attempt? What attempt? Did the blacmailer request payment and she refused it so the whole thing went away? What is the status of the sting to cuff the perp that supposedly is "attempting" to blackmail her for a photo that is widely available for anybody to see when the value would be if nobody could see it? Blackmail is to prevent photos from being seen for crying out loud. Holy crap, the idiocy is deafening.

OK but did either of the ex-GF in these cases receive a payout of nearly US$ 100,000 ?

The guy is accused of attempted blackmail, but it seen the lady concerned is attempting extortion

By all means if the guy did do what he is accused of put him jail....but THB 3.0million restitution come on...

"Extortion"...no. The charges can be legally dropped by the woman at any time in return for whatever settlement can be negotiated. This is the way things happen everywhere.

Just because she might be a bargirl doesn't give anyone the right to post explicit pictures of her on the internet.

Absolutely right...

Unfortunately not every expats or tourists share our point of view sick.gif

Yeah, but they all have sick buffalo and mother needs an operation emergencies now don't they? How is that nobody remembers that with pit bulls and Thai wives/gfs it is always, "But mine is different."

Because (believe it or not), some actually are different . . .

Honestly ,i think most decent Thai women are like decent women the world over ,decent and good wives /girlfriends.

clap2.gif No doubt about it!

There is a phrase that in Thailand, a contract is just a pause in the negotiation. Sometimes things appear "different" during a pause.

It looks like a case of blackmail more than posting pics online.

Unbelievable...How can you blackmail somebody when the photo(s) are already published? Blackmail is extorted to keep such things from being published. Geesh!! Time to get some duct tape before the head explodes..

I don’t know. I am English and in English law a lady could apply to the civil courts for damages and the man could make an out of court settlement almost the same as is happening in this case. So it is not extortion. Considering a recent out of court settlement for a police officer killed in a traffic accident was THB 3 million I think the same for her is high.

That's a tad naive i think..

She was a Thai Lady getting her kit off for an Australian Man, she is a Hooker and anyone who doesn't believe or understand that is living in Cukooland.

Sorry to burst yours or anyone else's bubble, but they don't do it for love.

Rather be naive than a bigot.

For those of you who think it is OK to post them consider this if I was your current wife’s ex boyfriend and had naked pictures of her would be happy if I posted them on the Internet where they could remain forever.

All fair points and experience tells me you're probably right.

BUT whats with all the "All Thai women are hookers" line that has been posted here ad nauseum.

I'm sure that there are loads of people that live in Pattaya, visit it and read this board that would take offence at these sentiments. I do for one - and I like to go for a beer to the bars every now and then.

Ex-pat Golfer arrested by Pattaya Immigration

Where does it say he's Irish?

rolleyes.gif

it doesn't say he is Irish, it says he was Irish. Then changed his name so that people would think he was a famous Italian golfer from Australia in Thailand in Pattaya drinking in golf bars...

:)

True-however, we should be basing our thoughts/opinions on normal process. That would mean this was his Ex girlfriend, who who he met in a bar in Soi five, which would indeed mean that she was a hooker, even if she isn't now by virtue of the fact that she became his girlfriend and stopped working immediately so "he could take her away from this dreadful life".

Wow, that's a whole hell of a lot of assumptions there . . . do you write stories for a living?

Reads more like memory recall to me................coffee1.gif

Makes you wonder if he has ever had casual sex here or has always paid for it. Or is casual sex not allowed in Thailand?

How can you say that after last Friday night, Chris? Surely that wasn't casual? And as you remember I did not pay you. Does this mean that meant nothing to you? I'm devastated.

Posted

Don't say h3ll.. it may upset someone. BTW, is that not your experience pet? Perhaps your'e a missionary.

Am far from being a missionary, but I also don't assume that all Thai girls are hookers or bar girls.

And it says a lot about you if you read something worrying about the signature lol . . . and your handle seems wholly inappropriate based on your posts so far, hardly 'considered'.

But 'Good Thai girls' wouldnt pose for porno pics would they??

Posted

What a scam.

Seems like there is no end to the number of ways Thais try to scam foreigners in Thailand.

As for blackmail it seems that the Thai woman is doing all the blackmailing.

We book models regularly and I can guarantee you will not get any "professional" model (as in works for an agency) for 3,500 baht - her travel fee alone will be more than this.

...in fact the make up artist and photographer are more than this.

Perhaps we have a different understanding of "professional model".

Witnessed a "trial " of a very similar case once . He took nude ,but flattering pics of her , with her consent . They fell out , she got the memory stick , selected pics then found their way mysteriously to the local police . She accused him of "tarnishing her reputation " Court case .....she stood up and said what a good girl she was etc etc and "it was'nt about the money .....but she wanted Bt 1 million anyway !

Verdict ....pay her the money or appeal and face a probable jail sentence or deportation .

Compensation agreed .....girl ,lawyers and policeman v happy and considerably richer .

Falang left feeling scammed and rueful for his stupity !

I sense a trend here ......

Accusations of bribery are a "front ", in my opinion, to get the case to court . After all , how much can you extort from this girl ....she's not a soap star is she (and i don't mean masseuse !)

Why didn`t he just tell them to, tee-off?

The guy has only himself to blame. Thai law is very explicite on this sort of thing. Why do you think Thai visa requires moderators on their forums?

Do your research first, study and respect the laws of your host country first before jumping in at the deep end.

I don't like those "naughty-boy" forums with their trip reports and photos of girls posters have spent the night with

They are the lowest pond like scum of the earth. No doubt the 'odd looking' members of society. The fraggles that post these pics and brag about it what she was like and rate them out of 10 are disgusting perverts nothing less.
