londoedan
I also object to being filmed ,the other day my wife and i were having a coffee in central and noticed this guy filming two ladyboys ,he then continued filming and as we left started to film us , i have nothing to hide ,but on the other hand dont want to end up on the internet. If you have nothing to hide, why do you care if you are on the internet? They were explicit pics. I assume that this means sexually explicit. Popular Post timewilltell
I witnessed a foreigner in a Bangkok police station attempting to get the police there to arrest a Thai person (who was not an important person). He was told by the officer on duty it would cost 45,000 baht to have the arrest made. The foreigner pointed out the arrest warrant was issued by the court - it was a criminal arrest warrant (mai jap). The police officer started to get abusive and told the foreigner to either come up with the money by midnight or the criminal would be released. He was serious. So for the person who thinks the Thai police are in the slightest bit interested in arresting anyone, by order of the court or not, without being paid to do so - I think you are mistaken. The Thai police are outside the law here - they do not uphold the law (a generality I know as I suppose there must be some good police) and are traitors to their country to the same degree as those involved in the local and national governments who are filching the taxpayers money to line their own pockets. They are all worthy of abject derision and zero respect.

how241
Looks like a scam, but unless he's in the pictures, or has posted them under his own name, it would seem to be difficult to prove anything. If he did post the pictures, some retribution is deserved - even if she is a working girl, she would still have a reasonable expectation that what goes on in the privacy of a bedroom should not be made public without her consent. Bar pics are public areas , bedrooms are not. I did slightly chuckel to myself about her reputation being ruined. A little late for that.
phantomfiddler
Cool, about time the authorities started to clamp down on this sort of thing - I don't like those "naughty-boy" forums with their trip reports and photos of girls posters have spent the night with, and I also don't like sitting in a bar watching the world go by and having my picture taken, without asking or a do you mind first. There has been some interesting stuff on Stickmans site recently about pictures being posted on the internet . I would prefer it if the authorities spent less time arresting someone for posting naked pics(presumably) of a hooker online and spent more time catching the handbag snatchers, clamping down on thuggish taxi/tuk/motorcycle touts, jet ski scammers and al the other low life in the tourist spots that give Thailand the bad reputation it is fast receiving! I would prefer if you kept your presumed sexist/racist views to yourself. All Thai women are prostitutes? Really?? Nice attitude. As far as I am concerned he gets what he deserves. What motivates people to do that in the first place. Idiot. Couldn,t agree with you more, Angsta, and an incredibly childish thing to do.

DrTuner
3M for nudies on net ? This is going to get popular, I'll bet. The Hub of Extortion, eh ? Looking at it a bit backwards, perhaps? It's the guy who's broken the law -- not her. Here's a blueprint for the stuff: A BG/GoGo/palmtree/etc - worker let's customers takes photos, with spoken word "of course darling you can put them on net". One of the gullible johns then does exactly that, using a traceable nickname and voilá, the business is on. Moral of the story: never post any photos of anything in internet. khunken
I just don't understand the blackmail bit. Standard practice would be to threaten to post explicit photos unless a sum of money was paid. Was it a failed blackmail attempt with the accused following through with the threat?

Agreed - (but the report doesn't mention she was a hooker !). So fing what, if she was a hooker or not! Maybe just maybe, her family was nor aware or didn't want to be. Believe it or not, some very nice girls have little or no choice on what profession that the Farangs, made available here years ago, the only way to get out of the rice-patties is to sleep with older Farangs, trust me, most rather not, many get hooked of forced drinking by customers, smoking, drug using, some are priceless, some get lost in the sad game, some get real hard, hurt many, d-baht many. Gosh, I wonder who taught them this line of work. Respect a persons privacy, get permission, a signed release, pay a little more if willing and do it right. Your quote Agreed - (but the report doesn't mention she was a hooker !).A real piece of work...
laislica
Where is a link to the photos? Most digital cameras, DSLR, compact, phones etc automatically add Meta data with details like the date/time taken, serial No. of the camera etc etc. Some even add a tag and give a GPS location. It should be easy therefore to know who took the pics. Of course the photos could have been processed by Stripper.exe and that would remove all Meta Data. If the accused did post explicit pics then he is either very messed up (revenge) or maybe drunk (it seemed a good idea at the time), either way, it was a stupid thing to do, but hey, thanks for the lesson As to the posts about nothing to hide - Google Earth had to obscure the faces of anyone they inadvertently posted on their street view application.and quite right too. It is nobody's business but yours where you are at anytime. I believe there are far too many CCTV cameras (for our own protection) already without adding to it. In some cultures/belief systems, you might be attacked for taking a picture of someone, some cultures think that a picture "takes something away from them - like their soul". In the meantime, until we hear the full story - Please keep up the TV tradition of speculating and having lots of fun insulting each other - wanders off singing You always hurt the one you love The one you shouldn't hurt at all You always take the sweetest rose And crush it till the petals fall You always brea-eak the kindest hear-eart With a hasty word you can't recall, so If I broke your heart la-ast night It's because I love you most of all You always hurt the one you lo-ove The one you shouldn't hurt at all You always take the sweetest ro-ose And crush it till the petals fa-all You always break the kindest heart With a hasty word you can't recall So-o if I broke your heart last night It's because I love you mo-ost of a-all You always hurt the one you love The one you shouldn't hurt at all You always take the sweetest rose Crush it, ti-ill the petals fall You always brea-eak the kindest heart With a hasty word you can't recall, so If I broke your heart last night It's because I love you most of all... sunshine51
Here's one thing to consider....after reading this entire thread....has anybody ever considered that the lady in question may be a professional model? I'm married to one. Here's how it goes...clothed, bikini and "sexy" (can be nude but hands, hair, objects etc must cover nipples & lower bits) pix are OK with the wife. Home movies & topless are OK as long as I fully understand said footage and pix never make it to the internet...I could easily end up missing a piece of my anatomy and most likely end up paying her a lot more than 3 Mil Baht and of course possiblysome jail time too boot. Reason...Thai models, the "legit" ones anyway who work with agencies such as Ford or Elite have a reputation to protect...that's why they earn an excellent salary and get all those other job perks their Western counterparts get. Now if the lady in question isn't a professional or perhaps I should say; a legit modeling agency model...and she reckons the girls who pose for internet pictures get a lotta money...she's <deleted> dreaming. Simple nude shoots, depending on the model start around 3500Baht for the shoot which usually lasts about 2 hours. If the nude model has experience of course she can command a higher modeling fee but 3 Million Baht ...Hah! Just sip satang from a pro photog who knows a bunch of models of all persuasions. If you've only met bar girls which you've had to pay to get them to do things with you, then your answers are being colored by this experience. If you've been lucky enough to meet some normal girls that DON'T work in a bar, you'll find they are quite adventurous depending who they are with. KeyserSoze01
Once again, the numpties are out in force making stupid comments about a topic they know nothing about, other than a news article by the most stalwart journalists on the planet and the BiB who we know only recruit officers of the highest integrity. The man denied posting any pictures on the internet. The woman claims there was a blackmail attempt. What is more likely? That she sees a quick payday for making false allegations -or- the farang actually did it. Common sense tells me it's a scam, but what do I know.
