Pics of students in Univ. uniforms do me just fine...anything more is gratuitous.

Often the pretty bows on past birthday presents exceeded the contents.

depends on how old the students are??????

Cool, about time the authorities started to clamp down on this sort of thing - I don't like those "naughty-boy" forums with their trip reports and photos of girls posters have spent the night with, and I also don't like sitting in a bar watching the world go by and having my picture taken, without asking or a do you mind first.

There has been some interesting stuff on Stickmans site recently about pictures being posted on the internet .

Crab! If it had been the other way round, it would not be a problem because he is farang! Double Standards!

Australia. A 20-year-old man who posted nude photographs of his ex-girlfriend on Facebook was sentenced to six months' jail in a landmark legal case.

America. Man charged by Lower Merion police with posting naked photos of ex-girlfriend on porn sites

you cant do it in Australia or America why would anyone think you can do it here.

"Because all Thai women are whores whose dignity doesn't matter" seems to be the response of a lot of the posters here.

Can I point out, that many of us have Thai partners who we did not meet in bars. Many of the posters here on the other hand only have girlfriends they met in bars, because it is quite a challenge for them to get out away from the bars and actually see what the real Thailand is like. People who live in Pattaya in general (not all), spend their waking hours with girls/boys in bars, and therefore are treated as customers by their partners, who they have met in the aforementioned bars.

Those of us whose experience is not based on bars simply laugh when we see members of this forum whingeing and grieving about their girlfriends boyfriends, and how they have been ripped off by the family after marrying one of their bar experiences.

It may feel cool to say this is nonsense, but at the end of the day more than half of the posters here are barflies whose only experience of "love" costs 500 baht, Those of us who don't find our love in all the wrong places, have partnerships that last for many years which are incredibly happy and occasionally we even go to bars to listen to music or to dance a little or to drink. Occasionally, incredibly occasionally, we may go out and share a meal with another foreigner and his partner.

So when somebody has a go at the over generalisations about bargirls/bar boys and disappointments in relationships, those of us who are in long-term meaningful relationships, (13 years for me), are given the permission required to have a quiet laugh at the expense of those with whom we do not have that meal, because they are far too busy in a bar finding their next relationship.

I am an Australian who have played golf for 40 years.

I have NEVER heard of this person.

So why say he is a FAMOUS AUSTRALIAN golfer.

Also he is a ITALIAN national, maybe with an Australian passport.

Pisses me off when they give us a bad name.

Who - golfers, Italians or Australians?

Sir, you are wrong and seriously misguided on this one. In Thailand, you can say the complete and utter truth, and still be up for liable, if the truth is deemed to given someone a bad name. Lets say some one stole a car and conducted fraud by delibratly bouncing checks, running and selling the products he bought with the dishonored cheques. They are charged and convicted.

You then said that the said person would not be a good person to buy a car off and conduct business with because they were convicted of fraud and as a car thief. If it is deemed you hurt their reputation, even though you said the complete and utter truth, you are Liable. It is a way the rich control the masses in this sub-servant society.

Thanks for that - useful info. Presumably that's why TV is so sensitive about 'name and shame' type comments and reviews.

Except of course where the "named and Shamed" are ex-pats. In that case it is the duty of TV to support the police/courts/pommies etc., as far as they can, including destroying their reputation after they are found to not only be not guilty, but to have been in another city at the time of the alleged crime being committed.
