PATTAYA:--A suspected cable thief was arrested after he lost control of his motorbike and crashed in South Pattaya which left the stolen cable strewn across the road.

Police were called to the scene of the crash on the Pratamnuk Road, early on Wednesday morning, and entered into a foot chase with the crash victim and suspected thief, Khun Umnat aged 42, who ran from the scene as soon as he spotted Police, even though, at this point, officers were not entirely sure if the cable was his or not.

Eventually he was apprehended and confessed to stealing the cable from a construction site in the local area. At Pattaya Police Station, the stolen cable which featured 3 roles of 1.5mm Electrical Cable, 15 meters of Fibre Optic Cable and 20 meters of Copper cable was deemed to have been stolen from the Amari Residence Construction Site where Khun Umnat was employed as a technician.
