Construction worker electrocuted at campsite in Jomtien

PATTAYA:--A Construction worker was found electrocuted in his temporary dwelling at a campsite in Jomtien on Thursday Night.

Police were called to the site located in Soi Watboon 9 in Jomtien just after 9pm on Thursday and inspected the body of Khun Lom who is thought to be aged around 60 to 65. Nobody present at the scene was able to provide Police with his real name or age. An inspection of the body revealed a large quantity of blood coming from his mouth and when turned over a large burn mark on his back confirmed to Police that he had somehow come into contact with live power cables.

It was also estimated he had been dead for at least 8 hours and investigators were puzzled as to why no one living nearby noticed the foul odour which was present at the time of his discovery. Fellow workers commented on the deceased man’s acute drinking habit and suggested to Police that he may have been drunk and fallen onto an extension cable which caused him to be electrocuted.
