October 16, 201213 yr Hi, I'm relocating from Songkhla to Bangkok. What do I need to do with regard to my vehicle?? Registration? License plate? Must I get a Bangkok plate? Insurance? Dealer / Maintenance log? I have a Mitsubishi PJS. Dealer maintained, under warranty. What is the process of handling the paper work? Thanks!
October 16, 201213 yr 1. i presume you mean the road tax ... the disc with the date on the windscreen... it doesn't change. unless you change plates. 2. you do not have to change plate ...but with your plate being a southern plate ..it may be best to. 3. insurance does not change...unless you change plate.. in which case you need to inform the insurance company the change of details.. 4.just find a new dealer to maintain the car. if you change the plate it can take up to 30 days to receive the new one. you also have to pay the tax and basic insurance again (i do believe you get a credit on the old tax. but not sure)

October 18, 201213 yr Tax is higher on a BKK plate than other areas. I have 2 cars that are the same. Last year I got one at the Auto show with a BKK plate the other with a CM plate. and BKK is more so when it expires I will change it over to CM
