I'm looking to make some changes to a new bike I just purchased. I did a LOT of searching before making this thread, as a number of people on other forums (PCX specific) have talked about getting work done at a specific PCX shop in Chiang Mai.

However, my PM's to them went unnoticed as the forum is pretty dead, and they haven't been active for months.

So, does anyone know a bike shop where they do these customisations (need to change an exhaust, and wheel rims). I know there are general bike shops, but a few people on a forum seemed to imply that there was a PCX specific one. I know there are in Pattaya and Bangkok.

Appreciate any help...

You don't mention if its the 125 or 150 in your opening post, this will help determine things easier for sure.

I'm not in CM but am the owner of a pcx 150 and will be looking to change a few things in the next month or two, good luck in your search.

Nat motors is a Honda shop that has wheels and many other custom parts in stock. If you want a factory shop to do the work they have people there who speak English and have 6 or 8 custom PCX's on display

From the Moat, the road heading out from Mikes burgers has many custom shops on it but limited Emglish

Hi Jeffrey,

Do you know the name of the road for that shop? I'm aware of the one on Huay Kaew road, just next to 7/11, they have quite a few which are heavily customised (some are quite sexy) but none of the bikes are for sale and the staff just said "they're all owned by the owner". Didn't seem to offer any customisations...

Yes that is the shop.

The older lady in parts does speak English as well as the Man who has white hair. (owner) on the parts wall near the custom bikes are wheels, shocks and other things. Or you could point to the bikes and say I want this or that. Really they are very helpful.

The custom shops on the road up from Mikes burgers has many parts and you can order anything, but they speak little English.

Lastly, the big Honda shop next to Toyota, (next to airport plaza) I know the Thai man who is the marketing manager at that honda shop use to work for Honda and help with all the R&D work on the PCX. He knows it inside and out and does speak English well

Half way down Chang Moi Road where it turns slightly to the left, on the right side of the street next to the shop selling mountain bikes. Name of shop Sampong or something similar. Have the YSS gas shocks, Yoshimura exhausts and will modify PCX variators for increased speed.. Lots of fancy stuff to "improve" the bike's appearance as well.

there is a place on chiang moi road that customises motorbikes including all PCX's,

they actually have two shops down there, the first one is about half way down on the right hand side and the other is futher along on the left.

there is Nat motors on huaey kaew rd, on the left hand side, after the nimanheamin rd turn off, they have a good selection of parts

there is also Pecky bike shop at the begginging of huaey kaew rd that customises motorbikes

if you want to improve performance then the best change you can make to your bike is smaller wheels and better tyres and change variator

fancy exhausts and air filters can actually reduce performance so steer clear of those!

and cosmetic changes are all in the eye of the beholder!

Yes, and not to mention, you'll be annoying everybody with a noisy exhaust system (newsflash for the "chopper" owners out there).
