PATTAYA:--Pattaya: Former West ham soccer player deported to Germany

Savio Nsereko Malaga, once a promising star with British Football team West ham and currently associated with SpVgg Unterhaching in Germany’s third division, was arrested over the week end and will be deported to Germany after staying in Pattaya for the last 2 weeks, during which he is alleged to have claimed to have spent one million baht and made kidnap claims to his family

The 23 year old was arrested following the intervention of the German embassy after family members received frantic requests for more money to be sent to him here amid claims of Kidnap. His family, in Germany, received the requests and were immediately worried and contacted the German police who, in turn, liaised with the Thai Police through the German embassy. In Pattaya, Police found him in a rented room and removed him for his own safety as investigations continued.

Despite his youth, the footballer has quite a chequered history, having been born in Kampala, he was signed to a German team at the age of 16 and subsequently was sold to West ham for a reported 9 million euros. With a four and a half year contract.

I guess there's been loads of people calling him a handsome man whilst flashing that sort of cash around partytime2.gif

Fame is only minutes in the eons of time. He will find that out fairly soon I would think and probably to his detriment and for all the wrong reasons.

Savio Nsereko faces trial after faking his own kidnapping in Thailand

Former West Ham footballer Savio Nsereko is set to face trial in Germany after reportedly faking his own kidnapping. The 23-year-old is said to have called his family from Thailand telling them his ‘captors’ were demanding a ransom of 3,000 euros (£2,400) for his safe release.

Nsereko’s concerned family then contacted the country’s German Embassy, who brought in the police. Suspicious of the rather small ransom demand, the police tracked down Nsereko and arrested him. A Thai newspaper revealed Uganda-born Nsereko was broke after spending 25,000 euros while holidaying on the Thai coast and came up with the story in a bid to restock his bank balance.

The striker moved to Upton Park in 2009 for £9 million, but flopped and was sold to Fiorentina less than six months later, having made just one Premier League start for the Hammers.

Trial for faking his kidnapping/extorting his family (bet they will forgive him?). A deal with a suspended sentence and/or some community work at most.

The holiday of a lifetime! Some idiots can get away with this kind of thing bah.gif
