Is there anything cuter in Thailand than seeing a poodle on a motorbike with it's front paws between the handlebars or sitting in the basket at the front, enjoying the view and smiling with its tounge hanging out? They appear to enjoy the experience but do they? :o

Has anyone any stories of pets on bikes and has anyone seen any other examples of pet owners taking their pets for a ride. This is one of the wacky things about Thailand that make me adore the place and it always brings a big smile to my face to see these 'riding dogs'. :D

Sadly I never have my camera to hand at the time, :D does anyone have any photos?

If you come to Suan Rot Fai, sometimes you will see my aunt riding aruond with my cat in the basket at the front of the bike :-0 while I run around the park getting fit.

She loves it; she knows I am going running and always stands right by the door or tries to sleep in my bag with my shoes so she can come too.

I also take her to sit by the beach while I windsurf, and so on.

Pets love to be with their owners I think, and if raised to try all these different things, then they really enjoy seeing something new :D:D

I actually saw a woman who had her BABY in the basket! Talk about shock! Made my list of top 10 most amazing sights this year.

It's beautiful the relationship a human and an animal can have, just a shame so many humans don't put it to good use.

Thai's (and not only Thai's) use the dog as the ultimate insult to which to compare a human which I think is a little off key considering that dog is wo/mans best friend.

Well actually it is in certain context e.g. bahk mah = bad mouth which is because someone talking a load of rubbish sounds a bit like a barking dog.

Actually, in the BCG grid ranking business into different categories based on market growth and market share (AFAIR), the categories are:

star = the best

question mark = unsure

cash cow = low growth but high market share, good for making dough

dog = low market share, low growth = bad

What is up with that?

Dog=man's (and wo-man's) best friend? How can the worst business be like a dog?

And that.... is why Boston Consulting is the worst consulting firm ever. :o

I got 3 dogs. Each dog behaves different about it. I always got a net protection the dog from leaving the basket.

The mother. Driving fast with her in the basket will cause her to pee. She gets scared and does not show any interest in sitting in front. :D

The father: He likes it a lot. The faster I drive the more he enjoys. A couple of times he has had erection from driving real fast with him in the front basket :D The net is particularly important for him. That is because he often wants to leave the basket and jump out. That for example if he sees a cat or other dog. Every time I go on the motorbike, he comes and stands up like he wants me to put him in the basket.

The son. He is generaly very scared and jaloux. Since the father enjoys so much in front, that is usually where his father sits. Also he likes to sit in front and also comes to the bike, wanting to be put in the basket. He does understand a no, but his father does not.
