Hungry Cambodians steal bag from Russian on Wongamat Beach in North Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Two Cambodian laborers who had not been paid by their employee for 3 days resorted to stealing a bag from a Russian beachgoer on Friday Morning at Wongamat Beach in North Pattaya.

The pair claimed they had no money for food or drink and became desperate to the point where they decided to steal the bag from the Russian Tourist who was swimming at the time. As the pair left with the stolen bag one of them fell over and was inadvertently stabbed by his own knife which was concealed inside his trouser pocket. He was losing blood and took refuge with his accomplice in an area of woodland close-by until they were eventually found by Police later on Friday.

The victim, Miss Vera Sarycheva aged 32 received her bag back which contained two Samsung Galaxy S2’s, one Nokia Mobile Phone, a digital camera and 500 Baht in cash. The two suspects, Mr. Naina aged 24 and Mr. Naidit aged 19 were taken to Pattaya Police Station after a trip to Hospital.

She was lucky that he didnt use the knife on her, which he might of, had she come from her swim a bit earlier.

Yes, too many illegals working here, and probably at less than minimum wage, but since there are no controls, then more will be coming.

Both taken to hospital?

One fell on his knife, the other? feel on the fist of the Russians husband???

Cambodians, do they have work permits? may be about time those that employ these illegals were prosecuted big time.

One of the more stupid quotes to be seen on here. The Cambodians are part of the Thai-Laos-Myanmar-Cambodia human trafficking system which will flourish as long as houses need to be built, fish need to be caught and the masters can make a fast buck. Minimum wage? Forget it. Paperwork? Forget it. Long as they cannot get locals to work, then this will continue.

Never seen the pickups with about 20 people crammed in the back coming back from building sites? Where do you think these people come from? Jeez, the high and mighty "do they have work permits" people really are living in another world.
