Sattahip; Navy rescue operation on Rayong coastline for injured fishermen

A Thai fishing vessel, working off the coast of Rayong toward Ko Samet, called in Navy help when the 48 year old captain was knocked over by a storm which approached the boat as he gave orders to his crew from the bridge.

Blown from the bridge, the man crashed first onto the side of the ship and then into the rough ocean. The crew bravely rescued him and got him back on board but it was obvious that his injuries were severe.

The Navy recue service was alerted and a ship was dispatched to the fishing vessel where medic

determined that he had suffered severe chest injuries.

A doctor was brought to the fishing vessel and once the man was stabilised he was recovered to the mainland and taken to hospital
