george
Norwegian tourist dies after bout of flu Complained of chest pains prior to death PATTAYA: Police and Sawang Boriboon personnel were called to the View Talay condo block in Jomtien shortly after 3 p.m. on January 28 upon receiving a report of the death of a foreign tourist. Officers arrived at the condominium to discover 25-year-old Denduang Maikham crying and hugging the body of Sven Christensen, age 62 from Norway. Police examined the body of the deceased and found no evidence of foul play. When officers questioned Denduang, she told police that her boyfriend had arrived in Pattaya on January 19 and had rented the apartment for just over a week. She said that he had a mild dose of the flu and thought nothing of it as it was ‘a normal occurrence’. However, Sven did complain about chest pains and severe itchiness. Denduang said they both laid down for a nap and when she awoke she discovered that Sven had died. She immediately called the police. Police surmised the tourist may have suffered a heart attack. Police sent the body to the forensic institute for a post mortem examination. --Pattaya Mail 2004-02-
plachon
At least it makes a change from slippery balcony syndrome from Fawlty Towers, getting fatally twisted up in the phone flex or a good ol' viagra overdose. PSSSST. But just don't tell the tourists.
