I'm looking for somebody resident in Bangkok able to finish a website left undone by my partner in Italy. Content and pictures will be provided by me in English and Italian; no flash animations ar any other technical masterpieces will be required, as it's a sort of online catalogue to sell stuff. The business started as a hobby (offline) and it's expanding so I need to have a presentable online structure to evolve into e-commerce. This will be the second portion of the project. Another further step may be weekly submission to search engines, but this may not be necessary.

In summary, I need somebody who can do this project at local costs and with a few weeks time span. This is a hobby turned into a business so I never invested any money into it; this will be the first time so I have a limited budget, proportioned to Thai rates. It's an ideal project for whoever has the skills, plenty of time and likes to work from home here in BKK.

Interested? Please send me //email removed - lopburi3//

Thank you for your attention.

Finish the website at local costs? So you want someone to work for 200 baht a day to finish your business for you? I wouldnt do it for 2,000 baht a day

try this website www.scriptlance.com, theres always freelancers from places like India etc looking to do this cheap, i would advise you to choose someone with a few good reviews and steer clear of the newbies or else you could "get what you pay for".

Theres a good chance youll get quality work cheap enough there as long as you stick to someone with a good review, believe me i know, because i tried to make a living on that site and even though i offered cheap prices i could never compete with some of the prices.

Kinda funny you are pointing to a site that outsources the skills you have. Like a small hardware shop telling a customer to go to tesco lotus!

No I dont do web design anymore because you cant make money at it because of all the freelancers in places like India that can afford to work for half nothing because of the cost of living there, but best of luck to them, i guess this is healthy competition.

I think its possible to make money employed as a web designer or possibly as a freelancer if you have a specilised skill or if you have built up a strong customer base through high quality work. If your just offering professional looking quality websites as a freelancer its easy to get outpriced by web designers from countries like India.

I could spend alot of money continuing to do courses to become specialised in a couple of areas of webdesign however i think its best to choose another career in I.T and just cut my losses with the money i spent on web design. It cant hurt on my c.v and i can always save money by being my own web designer/master/programmer if i need a website to promote my business and im not sorry for choosing to learn this as its something i enjoy doing.
