I may be flying in to Thailand for 90 days to allocate a contract to a Thai company to provide internet support to my company.

The work is complex and I will need to be there for a while to train the staff. Do I require a work permit? or would a business visa cover me?

What's involved in getting a biz visa?

Your trip is more than just a business meeting as it also involves training. You will need a work permit for that, through the Thai company.

For the non-B visa you need company papers and an invitation from the Thai company, but really depends on exactly where you will be applying. Might be best to just contact the consulate.
