December 18, 201213 yr Any expats be able to provide quote to replace timber in house on outskirts of Chiang Rai? There is extensive termite damage so prob the lot will need to be replaced. It is a typical northern Thai building with usual concrete stilts and corrugated iron roof. We have a builder lined up but would like a realistic idea of the cost in case he tries his luck when providing a price. Not sure what timber price is in Thailand but will need to be treated to stop termites etc. It has kitchen at back, 1 living room and two bed rooms. It is a bit of a shed to be honest. It is my mother-in-laws and they are quite a poor family. Prices for a proper kitchen would be helpful e.g. tiles, paint etc. Not sure if wed have to rebuild the entire house in brick or if wood is OK? Any advice much appreciated. Bookay.
