Beauty Salon in Central Pattaya destroyed as fire rips through building

PATTAYA:--Five fire trucks responded to reports of a building fire in Soi Boakao just before 10.45pm on Wednesday.

Due to the seriousness of the incident Police Colonel Tawan, the Pattaya Police Chief also made his way to the scene. There were reports of minor injuries sustained to a 65 year old woman but everyone inside the two burning buildings had been accounted for.

The fire started at the 49 Beauty Salon and spread throughout the four-storey building and to the 99 Internet Shop next door. It took fire-fighters more than one hour to control the fire.

Khun Boonlieng aged 65, who lives above the Beauty Salon was watching TV when she hear screams from below and realised the Beauty Shop was on-fire. As she ran down the stairs to safety she fell and sustained a minor injury to her leg.
