The machine you see above while it is self propelled here when it is actually working it carries a large amount of water onboard and is towed by this truck loaded with cement. The road to be repaired was 1st covered with coarse blue metal then this rigup went to work with the truck putting down a layer of cement and the machine behind grinding the old surface and adding the required amount of water to the mix.The picture below shows the part that does all the work. Layer of cement Comes out like this It is then straight away rolled with one of those vibrating rollers. The water truck you see above is just laying the dust to keep the residents happy. The repaired section ( about 1km ) will then be graded and rolled over the next day or so then eventually topped with Hotmix. 10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
