I know that there are various programs available to help with document management and storage? i am looking at using one, what do you guys use?

What do you mean. Are you talking about pdf workflow or maybe access/searching of documents- if the last one is what you are looking at I use http://www.easyreach.com/ It was once called "enfish Find" kinda similar but WAY better than the goog desktop searches.
