I will be in thailand april/may doing a sidetrip to vietnam, Is it straight forward to get visa to vietnam in BKK, how much? where embassy? How long?

I used this on-line outfit: http://www.vietnam-visa.com/

You get a letter back in a couple of days and then present that at the airport where they'll stamp your passport with the visa. Took about 10 mins at HCM upon arrival.

Really easy.

BTW I've just booked by flights Hanoi for a trip to Ha Noi next month - there are some great deals at the mo' with Air Asia - if you book ahead.
