Popular Post T_Dog
Threshing day.... Their crew was two people short as one fellow got bit by a meter long Cobra as he was walking through the long grass toward the machine. Off to the local clinic for him. Farmers here say that they rarely see Cobra in this area so it was his unlucky day.

Popular Post shaggy1969
^ There's more to that story. Guess who broke the golden rule about getting too close to a young animal with a protective mother nearby? I blame it on my camera actually,if it had a better zoom then I wouldn't of taken that extra step closer ......but I did,.......and Mother didn't like it Firstly she came and checked her young one....(Shaggy takes a few steps back.) Then she decides that I have worn out my welcome......head down, horns pointed......and chaaaaarge !!!! (her head went a lot lower than in the photo below, you will have to excuse me for not taking a photo.......I was too busy running backwards !!!) After managing to put a safe distance between myself and the angry mother,I turned around....only to see the big smiling face of the farmer that had witnessed my little encounter with one of his cows Gave a Wai and Sawadee krap, took his photo and then got out of there ASAP..........Not VERY embarrassing NB.....No animals or Shaggy's were injured in the making of these photo .......(thankfully !!!) Popular Post riceyummm
FIL has rice paddies far off the beaten path. He was pumping water all day but it was't enough. He came home ate dinner and headed back out for the night with MIL, supplies, and trusty muzzle loader. He didn't want to leave his equipment out alone. I asked W if the gun was for hunting, she said "no, for thieves". "Wild, Wild (North) West." Edited December 3, 2013 by riceyummm

P1010133rc.jpg Had a similar thing years ago involving a brother inlaw. The previous night,he had the pump running and during the night someone unhitched the iron buffalo and drove it down into the klong. This night he was heading off to stay there overnight to look after it and had a mozzie net, bottle of lao daeng and a rifle.I asked him what would happen if someone tried it again and his face broke out with a wide grin then he picked up the rifle, aimed it and said in a loud voice " BOOM ".I doubt whether the body would have been found.
