Which Schools In Pattaya Offer Ed Visas?

Recommended Posts

I need to get an Ed visa in Pattaya and want to know what my choices are. I've read a lot about Walen and Pro Language here, but don't really know what other options are available. I've done some google searching but much of the info is outdated.

I've mostly self-studied Thai and will continue to do so. If I have to go to school then I would prefer it to be a good school, but my main motivation is getting the visa as hassle-free as possible.

If you have info about any other schools please post what you've heard regarding the teachers/curriculum as well as how well they handle the visa process.

Thanks!

Kikenyoy, Walen offers free lessons, no need to pay anything and totally obligation free. Please come for a demo, talk to students and staff. We have lots of satisfied students so we must be doing at least something right. Leosmith works for me part time, with his hatred of Walen he helps us to get more students. Who knows who he is, never seen his face and I am not sure what are his issues with Walen but one thing is certain, once Walen is mentioned he will join to say something negative, like here, questioning that Walen is a good school. That is my understanding of his post.

Only Op was not looking for a real school, just a school that will give him ED visa, so Walen would be a perfect choice.

PS. I Know you keep saying have many satisfied people, ONLY most of them are satisfied with Bangkok Branch, i am yet to read a good response about Pattaya Branch in regards to actual real study

I'm happy to talk more about is as I actually give guarantee on my work and I do not charge for lessons if the quality was below expected. Have you actually studied at our Pattaya branch?

yes i have, and not to go off topic or upset you, but was less than satisfied and most certainly would not return or recommend, though great for those just wanting the visa.

I only have 1 suggestion -get real, decent teachers. for those of us who REALLY want to learn Thai.

Being in business myself, in Pattaya i do realize its not an easy task, so may be have 1-2 real teachers who teach ONLY the REAL classes and whoever else for those just wanting the visa

As I said in my original post, I'm already familiar with Walen and Pro Language. I was curious about other options.

Price is a factor but isn't my primary concern. I know that there are many other schools in Pattaya besides the two I mentioned in my post. I was curious if anyone had any experiences with them. If not then I would probably have to select one of the ones stated above.

We use a method and this method works. We have a lot of students attending lessons, not just for the visa. I give guarantee on my work as well. I am always doing my best to get good teachers. Things are not as bad as you have presented, actually things are very good. I don't get many complaints and if I do I try to fix things quickly. Walen is probably one of the best run schools. If you were not satisfied with some lessons you should have complained long time ago and I would look into specific complaint right away. Also I don't believe you have attended the whole course as it is impossible not to make huge progress.

I think pro-language is the best school in Pattaya offering student visas.

There's tlslanguageschool and 8host (think they are out of business by now), I've no idea about how good or bad they are.

I went to plcpattaya - it was (really) bad.

I had a look at the books of Walen and talked to some ex-students. Their most advanced book was pretty basic. None of the student I met was positive.

Lots of schools in Pattaya kikenyoy so you have choice. We do indeed have many happy customers, but true, we do not have any older teachers at the moment. Those ladies however are very capable teachers and everybody can try our demo lessons and see for themselves.

Lemoncake, you have never heard of any Walen students having visa problems so we obviously know what we are doing. That applies to all of our branches.

Slanging match is now OVER. The attacks on a forum sponsor will stop now.

OP is interested in a list of schools. provide that or stop posting. I will remind you of forum rules so that you can learn to heed them, thanks

http://www.thaivisa....tion=boardrules

People giving a critique is a "slanging match"?

Which Forum Rule is being broken when members give their experience of Walen? The only mention of sponsors in the rules is that they are allowed to promote their own business, there is nothing saying that people cannot give criticism if it is valid.

But because Walen is a sponsor he can come in with his propaganda every time someone asks about joining a language school and whenever anyone with experience talks about the service they are not happy with from Walen (which seems to be the case most of the time) then a mod will come in an defend Walen or close the thread? As seen on many many occasions in this forum.

The Thai Language forum should be about finding important information to help yourself. It doesn't really seem fair to any OP who is looking for a real language school to teach them Thai that they are given information which will be to their detriment.

And next time you want to derail a topic by discussing moderation publicly you will find your post deleted and your good self warned.

Get back on topic of discussing schools and do so in a civil manner.

If I read the OP topic correctly - he had asked for recommendations of a School in Pattaya OTHER THAN WALEN AND PROLANGUAGE. This whole discussion appears to have been derailed by who?

Exactly. I've been posting here long enough to know about the reputations of the two schools in my original post. That is why I specifically asked about OTHER schools in Pattaya. I hoped that MacWalen wouldn't reply so the thread wouldn't end the way so many Walen threads do...with posts deleted and the thread locked. Kriswillems post is the only one in the thread that's actually mentioned other schools (thanks Kris!).

There is Excel school in front of BigC south pattaya, near sukumvit

This one is owned by an ex-Wallen teacher, uses the same method for teaching and pretty much the same deal with visa, but she will give discount of 10% or so if you bargain with her.

From memory name Ann

This is overdue, but I would recommend a new school located behind Big C extra called Language plus pattaya.

Their staff is very kind, visa are very cheap, probably the cheapest in town, and on top of that they care about your improvement.

I started with 50hours intensive reading and writing course, and I still can t believe I can read my textbook in Thai now!

If that can help...
