PATTAYA:--Late on Tuesday Night Police were called to Pattaya Second Road in front of the Siam Commercial Bank Branch at the Central Pattaya intersection to assist a 50 year old woman who had just been assaulted and then had her bag snatched by a Burmese man.

The suspect, named as Mr. Jaymee aged 25 was in an intoxicated state and initially told Police he was 12 years old, which of course they did not believe. The victim was extremely distraught and had sustained minor injuries to her legs after she was attacked by the suspect with a plank of wood.

The incident began when the woman was walking along the street and the suspect came out from a side-alley and attempted to pull her into the alley with the intention of committing a sexual assault according to a later confession. He realized the woman was much larger than him and decided to attempt to incapacitate her by striking her
