Applicant Status Website For Uk Family Visit Visa

I'm still having same problem. Is anyone able to shed some light on why the application is showing up even though we've had the email from VFS?

I cannot remember exactly the format of the reference number but had similar problems. I seem to remember just putting in the numbers at the end of the reference did the trick.

If you can give me the format I may be able to remember how I got round the problem but it was a few years ago!

Possibly someone a bit more up to date can help!

What interview? Do you mean the visit to the VAC to hand in her documents and have her biometrics taken? That's not an interview.

UK visa applicants in Bangkok are very rarely interviewed these days, and if they are it's usually by phone.

What email? One to say the application has been forwarded to the embassy or one to say her passport is back with VFS?

7by7,

The email was to say that the application had been received & forwarded onto the embassy & of course it was not an interview just the appointment at Regent House to hand over the application & supporting docs.

Shouldn't we about to track it progress now using the APET reference as I remember doing it last year?

The web site will only give you the same message as the email, ie, " the application has been forwarded to the embassy".

When the decision has been made and the documents are ready for collection from the VFS you should get an email to let you know.

At that point the website will tell you the same. They don't give you any indication of the progress of the application.

I entered our details on the tracking website 5 minutes ago and got an instant response, although the message was exactly the same as it showed on Tuesday.

Probably a obvious thing to suggest, but have you entered the reference number EXACTLY as shown on the printed receipt? Format is APET/(6 numbers)/(6 numbers)/(1 number). Have you entered DoB as day/month/year - all in numerals - and not in the American m/d/y format?

Can't suggest anything else, I'm afraid.

Gents,

I've honestly checked thoroughly that I'm entering the APET number correctly, it gives you an example on the page & entering the DOB correctly but all I'm getting is that the number I'm entering is invalid.

In which case, as the tracking system is working for MartinL, it appears that there is an error in the number you were given.

I suggest that you contact VFS.

You are using the APET/ number from your payment receipt?

Yes I am rawhod.

I've rang them as 7by7 suggested & after 10 mins of explaining they took my number & promised to call me back. Watch this space...

They called back & admitted that it was a clerical error on their part. I can now access the site with the new numbers they supplied.

At least they put their hands & rectified the problem. A good reactive response.

Thanks to all for the advice & 7by7 who's rarely off point!
