Have a Laos GF of 7 years would like to marry in Thailand.

Has anyone had first hand experience in a similar situation.

Getting married in Laos is just too crazy to even think about.

I,m from the UK and have a "Affirmation of Freedom to marry" document.

Hope someone can advice.

You both need to get an affirmation docuemnt form your respective embasies, have it translated into Thai and then certified by the Thai foreign ministry. Next you go together to any amphur/khet and get married.
