Just stop for a moment...

And visualise a tiny girl...all alone...locked in cage...screaming for help as boiling water is poured over her again...and again...and again...

I have spent a good deal of time in the third world...and I have many disturbing images that will sit in my memory for life...

But I cannot get these images out of my mind...

Today I sit here, in a state of utter emotional torpor, paralysed by my seething anger...

I read with disgust this girl has received the insulting sum of 30,000 THB for 5 years of imprisonment and relentless torture. Half of her life in endless pain...

I also expect that the monsters who tortured this girl will never be properly prosecuted- that would highlight the shortcomings of the BIB when the girl escaped first time around.

Reports also suggest their family is connected...

In any event, CRIMINAL proceedings will do NOTHING to improve the lot of the victim. In fact it will just give cause for her to be poked and prodded, photographed and called a lier by the defence lawyer.

I therefore propose that we create a litigation fund, so that a CIVIL claim can be brought against the monster couple to sue them for their assets.

They have run away to hide already...but their house and land remains...

The proceeds can be retained in trust for the little girl...so that when her story is no longer newsworthy she has some ongoing support.

I will make a significant contribution to the fund if we can identify a trustworthy Thai lawyer to commence and manage the civil proceedings.
