I ask because I recently met a guy who's on his third wife in four years here. Apparently he gets a divorce, floats on a tourist visa for a while until he finds a new wife, marries her and starts the whole non-immigrant O process over again. He's still here, so it seems to be working for him. I suppose if he ever applies for PR in the future, multiple wives could make him look unstable and therefore an undesirable candidate.
