The problem with this kind of news coverage doesn't convey the fact that, biased and racist, this is all highlighting the odd few farang have been caught at it.

Where's the daily coverage of Thais getting walloped abroad for their outlandish scams?

-mel.

They can't just board a plane and flee to Europe. Thank God.

Since when??

The ones with money can and do .

"The (AUSTRIAN) suspects are accused of hiring other people to smuggle 14 kg of ganja from India to Austria.

After coordinating with the Austrian embassy, the Thai officers investigated and discovered that the defendants escaped to Thailand and were moving around many areas, such as Koh Samui, Buriram and Bangkok .

The defendants had brought a KTM motorbike from Austria that they used for their escape vehicle to travel around Thailand. Then on March 13, the Thai police arrested them at Pechkasem Road, Tambon Wangphai, Amphur Meuang, Choomporn province. (Chumphon)"

To drive around with a seldom KTM in TH was not so good idea! Better hide somewhere and keep a low profile.

My countryman-lady had been a bit to thoughtlessly!

Nice sunglasses - Same style the young Syrian murderer of the New Zealand man used at his reenactment this week.

Is fashionable among foreigners in police custody and in the local inspection! rolleyes.gif

The Sunglass is a fashion statement I'm sure the French couple are making, probably based on some old French gangster movie.

No that it is from to much importance,

but please,do not take away, the Austrians "achievements." rolleyes.gif

"The first case involved the arrest of Mr. Anunu Abdraearman, age 25, nationality French"

"In the second criminal case, the Austria embassy helped coordinate the arrests of two suspects, identified as Mr. Rene Schmith, age 29,

and Ms. Simone Antherweger, age 30.

Both of them are of Austrian nationality."

So, the -colored- guy is the French and the two with the sunglasses are the Austrians -my fellow countryman-lady-.

The reason to "disguise" themselves" a bit with the sunglasses, same the young Syrian man, is understandable.

But that the Thai police allows them to do that is not understandable by me. whistling.gif

Well done the Thai Police......now.....there's this fugitive from Thai justice with a whole parcel of crimes committed in Thailand rumoured to be living between Dubai and Hong Kong.

Can a fugitive have diplomatic protection?

When is a fugitive Not a Fugitive?

Is there a one armed man involved?

His sister is the Prime Minister, he is a very rich and power full man and not every body is equal, some are more equal! rolleyes.gif

-Pimay 1-

You think the Thai police is so cheap, to give a "Sunglasses wearing permission" for that price?

Or you mean,

Fashionable, Thai traffic police sunglasses are sold, before reenactments and police press conferences including foreigners in custody, for B. 500.- ? tongue.png

I would think it would be a B500 rental fee. Can't say for sure as fortunately I've never been caught by the BIB.

Yes, possible, did not think from that! thumbsup.gif

I will not find out either, as I already use glasses and looks stupid to wear sunglasses on top of them! tongue.png

Enough a bit OFF TOPIC, before we get caught by the Authorities at Thaivisa. smile.png

Notice that the frenchie is wearing body armour as well as sun glasses.

The first time I saw the pic, I wondered why there were only four people sitting down, the French guy had blended into the BiBs uniform.

Maybe he has trouble sitting down after the interrogation shock1.gif
