I know about fairtex and those other big names but i am looking for a small, mostly thai operated muay thai gym. I don't fancy training with a lot of farangs and would prefer some small outdoor gym with 1-2 instructors.

Any recommendations?

Just a possible lead for you :

I noticed there is a Thai muay thai training centre in north Pattaya/very near naklua.

Open front.

Just off Pattaya nua, on a cut through soi to Big C north.

It is approx opposite Navin Mansion 3, could be soi 7 north pattaya.

Seemed to be all Thais.

That based on a glance whilst going past, no personal experience.

A month or two ago, I noticed one in Naklua Soi 12, no idea how long it's been there.

After you turn into Soi 12, it's approx. 100m on the right, you can't miss it, you see the boxing ring is almost next to the road!

I don't know if they train people there or just have boxing matches.

I think there is another one on Sukhumvit Rd, next to mini Siam.

Not a fan, but noticed these places when a visitor asked me where he could watch muaythai.
