Bush Beans Phaseolus Vulgaris "pintos"

Recommended Posts

Folks I am thinking of planting a Rai of pinto beans for my and the wifes comsumption. We are in North West Nakonsawan almost Kapangpet. I do not know the PH of the soil this property has been in sugar beets I assume forever crop rotation not big around here.I would appreciate if anyone has experience growing these in Thailand. The land has good drainage and water is available. I am most curious as to when to plant in the moonsoon cycle they require 90 days to mature my guess would be to plant in rainy season and harvest in the dry to accomodate drying.

Regards

Moe

I have planted pinto beans here with poor results. The weather (around Mukdahan) is either way to wet ( causing fungus and rot ) or too hot. I've even tried right after the rainy season in late Nov to early Dec, with slightly better results, but got hotter so fast. I have grown with decent results Calico Beans.

Meanwhile Tops and Villa imports and sells pinto beans.
