Guys I am flying to Europe next week on Finnair in Business Class, does anyone know if the flights from BKK use the new flat bed in Business, also what lounge do they use at swampy?

AFAIK the Finnair seats are angled lie flat seats on their A330's.

Helsinki airport is small and efficient, don't know about the lounge in BKK.

I have spoken to Finnair in BKK and am lucky that the flight I am on has the new lie flat business seats. Thanks for the info on Louis Tavern, just slightly better than staying on the main concourse I guess.

I promise to try and remember to write a review of the flight for here.

The price was very reasonable, 99K LHR return with no restrictions. I guess it's because of the UK Easter holidays but decent flights to LHR are pretty hard to find at the end of next week.

Finnair is doing 2 flights per day between Bangkok and Helsinki. One is a A 340 (old Business Class, Seats at an angle), the other one is a A330, new Business Class with fully flat seats.

The Louis Taverne Lounge they use in BKK is actually very nice, new with a lot of light and roomy. Food and Beverage are average, but nice enough, nothing to complain about it.

RabC, I guess you will fly back with them too, you can order your meal for the Helsinki - Bangkok leg online before your flight. 3 different meals to choose from. Not possible for the Bangkok - Helsinki leg thought.

Thought you had been around TV long enough to know it doesn't work like that As a colleague of mine who worked for Nokia and therefore had to fly them said to me "The worst thing about flying business on Finnair is that you know the economy class is so bad you can't help feeling that one day the passengers will revolt and invade".

Well, you were right about closing the thread Rab....they are crawling out from under the bridge as we speak!

Edit: To be more helpful Rab....I've seen this situation play out time and again here. Best to PM a mod and ask them to close the thread rather than announce it and attract such abuse.
