Which Virtual Phone Card To Call From Bkk - Usa And Reload Over Internet ?

Featured Replies

Hi

I started using http://www.callmuangthai.com which has very cheap prices to call Thailand and most other countries , plus you only need to load it with $2 to start ,

Calls to Thailand are only 1-1/2 cents per minute smile.png

I would like to set up something like that so calls can be made from Thailand to USA etc

Is there something like CallMuangThai that starts in Thailand to call the world ?

and that I can load over the internet by USA debit card or Paypal

It would need to work by calling Thai access number, connecting and then the USA number.

Any ideas ?

thanks for your help

If you have gmail, download the chat program which also allows you to call anyplace in the world. The rate for calls to the US are one cent a minute.

thanks for the idea but it needs to be on a mobile phone , not on a computer

I think your requirement for internet refilling may preclude you from the most cost-effective options?

Can you share any additional detail re: your exact application, especially refilling?

Without more clarity I would suggest one or more CAT PhoneNET calling cards, which offer a rate of 1 baht/min to any fixed/mobile in the U.S., and offer free local access. Just estimate the calling patterns and provide the necessary number of denominated cards.

Thanks ,

that will work , which one do you use ? if it was just a little more for better quality I would go for that one

it looks like it is the same set-up as http://www.callmuangthai.com but you can dial out of Thainland and with the callmuangthai you cannot.

^ I have free, unlimited calling from Thailand to the U.S., and from the U.S. to Thailand, via GrooVeIP/Google Voice on an Android phone via WiFI or 3G. I also use a magicJack device, which in my case requires a PC with an internet connection. Note that there is also a magicJack Android app., which I believe can extend one's mJ service to the mobile "world".

I think any VoIP calling card will offer similar price/performance.
