Popular Post Hedghog
Bought a new fridge freezer, stand up,style,(Mitsubishi) Delivered Saturday morning, started it up Sunday and transferred, produce from the old fridge to the new. Woke up early morning and noticed a faint glow from the fridge door. The door isn't closed fully, and won't close fully. 09.30.contact Big C.the supplier of said appliance. They will send a man today.(OK) Surprisingly Big C rep has just completed a simple task I overlooked, Level The fridge,(what a prick I felt like) I know to level a washing machine, never thought about a fridge. So always level the devil. Kudos to Big C.

AnotherOneAmerican
They were supposed to level it when it was delivered. Their fault not yours. Is everyone expected to own a level?
Hedghog
They were supposed to level it when it was delivered. Their fault not yours. Is everyone expected to own a level? Possibly,I have had many fridges, throughout my householding days and never been advised to level them, only give them time to settle, before operating.Something to do with the liquid gas within. David48
They were supposed to level it when it was delivered. Their fault not yours. Is everyone expected to own a level? Is this a service particular to Thai? First I've heard of this expectation.
kannot
Must be very flimsy construction if being off level twists it that much that the door won't close? Either that or your floor is an inch out.
Judecalling
Sober Monday - i promise. ! Quite interesting about this ... please can you explain what this 'level' is about for the fridge and washing machine. ? I kind of get the washing machine ... on straight flooring - but i really don't get the fridge on slightly uneven ground ? It has to be to do with water content somewhere along the line. ?? The only reason for my fridge door not budging .. is because i have been away and it's got ice. I need to know things like this for the future if it's a simple overlook .... please. ? Got to buy 2 freestanding soon. Thank you - Jude.
FredLee
I bought a new Samsung refrigerator from Big C last month. The delivery men leveled it, and made sure the door closed automatically.

The delivery men leveled it, and made sure the door closed automatically. My fridge was fine on delivery, but I moved it after transferring the food items from the old one.And the kitchen floor is of the up hill down dale variety. I just didn't think about the level. Before calling Big C. The floor I can't change as my house is rented.
Langsuan Man
I know real men don't read instructions but I guarantee you that the manual that came with the refrigerator told you to level it when installed and also instructions on how to do it

giddyup
In fact, if the fridge was level the door wouldn't swing closed of it's own volition. The fridge needs to have the front feet raised slightly so that happens.

Thank you.The fridge/freezer is a little wider than standard,at 25 inches,so perhaps flexed more than I expected. Very happy now.All my pre made culinary delights are safe.
