not sure wether someone asked this before but i am making my own nan bread plus i miss my favourite welsh cakes.it should be of cast iron or a solid heavy steel that goes on top of the hob.indian's call them a java.

In some cookwares in the marketplace they sell heavy flat steel pans with low lips. These are meant for use by vendors of pad thai and various other noodle and rice specialties who prepare big quantities at fairs and markets. In Chiang Mai I know where they are sold.

Also, I don't know if this would work or not. But as a substitute for a pizza or bread stone, you can use unglazed terracotta tiles. The bigger and thicker they are the better.

thanks roban i live 7hrs away east but my mate goes there every week so i will get him to get me one if i cant find one here[korat]i will ask the bloke at the night market by us who makes the roti.
