Looked at airasia, garuda and Thai.

Airasia looks good, circa 45k compared to 65/80 for the other 2.

Also anyone stayed at hotel nearby airport, or on airport ?

Never stayed at an airport hotel before, but connecting flight time might be only option so far. They are also usually expensive aren't they with captive market and all.

There's not too many carriers serve this route,you've probably exhausted all of them there!

Thai air was 68k baht

Should also mention that is price for return....so tad over 11k baht each return with AA

We have not found an available flight for the cities/dates requested.

The possible reasons for this error are:

1. You have selected dates when no services operate
2. All flights for the selected itinerary are sold out
3. You have selected a departure or arrival airport that does not offer commercial air services
4. You have selected a departure or arrival airport that is temporarily closed

If you are willing to change then Malysian had good offers last year.

Not really, kids and all, just an extra hassle on such a short flight.

I have found Air Asia flights to Indonesia to be far better than their Thai domestic flights. AA would be my choice.
