KelCastro
Two men and a young boy are installing a new AC unit for us. What would be the proper "tip"?

Gsxrnz
Depends how much they "charge" you for the job itself - have they given you a price yet?
KelCastro
Depends how much they "charge" you for the job itself - have they given you a price yet? We shouldn't be charged anything as its through the complex...so although its free, we're compelled to tip something.

If they make a mess or do a messy job, 100 baht between them.
Gone
You really need to come on TV to ask this? If you feel you should tip them, tip then what you feel you should. There really is no AC installation tip standard mate. Like anything here, tip what you feel when you feel. Sometimes I eat a 300 baht meal and tip bugger all because of service and all and other times I eat a 50 baht meal and tip 20 baht.

KelCastro
so what amount did you give them in the end? We gave 200 to one guy, and 50 to the little kid. The other man didn’t take the “tip”, but we know him through the building so maybe it was more awkward for him? Don’t know...
