shiroboi
I'm 36 and living in Thailand, married to a Thai national. We have two children. My youngest is having a kidney blockage and I'm forseeing lots of doctor visits in the future. I'm starting a Thai based business in the next three months. I'm wondering if I should get the family insurance now or should I start the company first and get insurance through my company. I'd like to avoid a costly mistake down the road. Any thoughts? stevenl
You have made the costly mistake already by not having insurance already. Any problem related to the kidney problems of your child will be excluded from the coverage.
AAInsuranceBrokers
As Stevenl has mentioned had you been insured earlier the problems with your child would have been covered under your insurance. However that is past and you are asking about the present so we would recommend to apply now as waiting for your new business company to be created would not make any difference. Lesson for all : do not wait/put off insurance, Thailand can be and is expensive ! For quotes please go HERE
shiroboi
Thanks for the replies guys, I know hindsight is 20/20. He was born the day I arrived so we didn't have any insurance in place at the time. We'll look into getting insurance for him anyway.
