If one was to swap over from the Marriage ‘O’ extn to the Retirement ‘OA’ extn without increasing the 400K deposit to 800K how can he prove his income if not on a foreign pension? In my case most of my income is derived from various investments in my home country on which I pay Income Tax. BUT, although my income is much higher it varies with market forces and not regular like a pension would be.

Will the Imm office accept a copy of my annual tax return or tax assessment, I guess it would have to be translated? One consideration here is my extension renewal is carried out through April and my tax assessment is done in September.

Would they look at my foreign bank statements showing deposits and ATM Thai Baht withdrawals.?

Foreign income can only be certified by your Embassy so it is not an immigration matter. They accept whatever your Embassy says. You need to check your Embassy requirements for proof of income. In the case of the US this is your notarized statement to them.

Thank you. I'll try to contact the Aus Embassy and get their requirements.
