BANGKOK, Aug 27 – Thailand’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) today revealed the assets of the new cabinet, with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra being the richest with a net worth of Bt627.4 million baht.

The premier declared her assets to the anti-graft watchdog. Since June she has had double duty as defence minister due to the latest cabinet reshuffle in June. Her spouse has Bt76.61 million in assets, while her young son has Bt1.25 million in assets.

The assets of the premier and her son, excluding her common-law husband, are valued at Bt601.66 million, with 27 million baht in liabilities.

The richest cabinet family is that of Deputy Prime Minister Pongthep Thepkanchana, with assets over liabilities worth Bt3.08 billion. Mr Pongthep alone has Bt341.17 million in assets.

The least wealthy minister is Deputy Transport Minister Pong Chivanand having only Bt1.61 million in assets, while the total net assets over liabilities of his family is Bt10.98 million.

New Social Development and Social Welfare Minister Paweena Hongsakul has net assets over liabilities of Bt43.02 million, while Justice Minister Chaikasem Nitisiri has Bt120.2 million.

Former defence minister ACM Sukumpol Suwanatat has assets of Bt22.25 million with no liabilities, while former deputy interior minister Pol Gen Chat Kuldilok has Bt105.83 million with his wife having about one billion baht in assets.

The NACC reported that so far, there is no report of irregularities in the declaration of assets statement, but there are some attempts to conceal assets through various means such as divorce or the lack of an official marriage registration to avoid assets scrutiny by the anti-graft watchdog. Policeman's wife has over a billion in assets. Nice to know where the shakedown cash ends up.

Worth noting that the proxy PM has assets of 600 million, which will be topped up by a cool 1,000 million more when the Shinawatra confiscated wealth is returned with interest.

Of course it's all a fairy tale, unless the British Virgin islands give up their secrets.

She doesn't care about money. Nobody in the world of monoparty dominator autocracies cares about money. They all moved beyond money a long time ago. Their globalist masters have more money than anyone could spend in a lifetime. Autocratic totalitarianists such as the Shinawatra Cartel and their international overlords, don't need or care about money, they only care about power and control and remoulding planet Earth by lowering the population numbers and having a permanent slave/master dualclass system to to replace the current lower/middle/upper class system. Money does not matter to an overlord, only that the slaves are controlled and the military/police will keep the slaves in check. For the dictatorial overclass, money is just the sea they swim in, power and control are harder to maintain and those are the only two things they are actually focused on. And eroding population density and forcing the middle classes down into the slave class.

I'm sure you are not as stupid as this post makes you appear to be....

Well I do agree with him on two points. The first one being the population could stand a large reduction but not the way they would go about it.

I also agreed it is not about money to them it is about the power they can wield. Money is just an outward symbol to them.

The rest of it well it takes all kinds to make the world go round. Some to give it a little wobble.

I'd just thought I paraphrase this little gem:

"The assets of the premier and her son, excluding her common-law husband, are valued at Bt601.66 million, with 27 million baht in liabilities."

"...but there are some attempts to conceal assets through various means such as divorce or the lack of an official marriage registration to avoid assets scrutiny by the anti-graft watchdog."

Is this story from a star trek movie?

If you have too much money, put it in the wifes name or the kids name.

When they first started this transparency thing, officials would declare more than they had, so when they did make it big, they could just say "its already been declared"!

I don't want to know who has x or y, for me the irony is that the local rice growers think that they are being represented by "non elitists" who have feelings and compassion for "the little people".Anybody see something wrong here??????????

Could it be that she is so inept that she has lost it?

Wonder how her son got over a million, good pocket money or did he get paid for running on to a football paddock?
