Ministry of Energy sets standards for sales of community-based bio-diesel

The Deputy Permanent Secretary to the Energy Ministry, Mr. Pornchai Rujiprapha (พรชัย รุจิประภา), revealed that his ministry will call a meeting with the Department of Energy Business tomorrow to discuss on ways to prevent the sale of bio-diesel produced in community at petrol stations.

He said the quality of community-based bio-diesel is lower than that of fuel oil and is not suitable for use with vehicles. Such bio-diesel is only suitable for agricultural machines.

He said that tomorrow's meeting will also set the quality standard of community-based bio-diesel so that similar standard can be observed nationwide.
