UK Passport Form C2 - Can I print off from internet?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just a quick question regarding the UK Passport Form C2 - (First time application for my baby daughter for UK passport - I will be applying within Thailand). I understand everything about what docs etc I need and that I will have to apply at UK embassy in BKK as this is a first time application, however I'm not 100% sure if I can download the C2 form from internet, print it off on my own printer and then use this as the application? (To clarify - I have found the link to this form, I have physically downloaded the form in PDF form and can physically print this off on my own computer but will the embassy accept this in this 'state')

The reason I ask the above is that if I was in applying from within the UK, the notes for this (different) form - C1 I think? state that the user cannot print off from their own printer but rather get the forms from Post Office etc or apply online and then the passport agency will post this out to the UK address. For the C2 notes I cannot find anything mentioning this, however, I do not want to have a wasted trip to BKK especially as the Counter-Signer will not be with me then!

Please do not respond with 'guesses' but firm knowledge / experiences are most welcome!

Thanks for any advice!

Richy

If you follow the step by step instructions on the fco.gov.uk website it tells you to print it and sign it.

.....cheers Upnotover.....I had read the C2 guidance notes a few times but alas the answer was already in front of me....even more embarrasing is the fact that I had 'read', neigh, glanced, several times at this screen....sleepless nights with newborns does these things to you (at least thats my excuse!)

Better safe than sorry though...

Thank you again, my mind is at ease for another day....
