'Stupid woman' remark stirred anger and apology in British parliament

compare her attendance in parliament to, say, David Cameron, and one will find a correlation. Often the only time in one week Dave attends the House is for "Prime Ministers Questions".

BS. He's there when appropriate (the job is not all Commons) and is put on the spot as and when. Hardly a fair comparison for the Thai Members of Playground.

It is amazing that the Thai news papers translate "อีโง่" translated as "ee-ngo" as stupid woman. It is probably because they like to keep their poster boy and thus their anti democratic leader out of the wind. It would be too bad if the upstanding unbiased "Nation" would on purpose mistranslated a very rude remark. "อีโง่" means stupid Bitch and not stupid woman. Tell any given bargirl that she is an ee-ngo and the chances are you walk home with a broken nose.

....Yes you're right of course. I wonder if her Thainess at the Vatican included trying to sell dodgy rice to the Pope and hoping to introduce Buddhism ?

No, no no, nothing that improper. She was just pricing Vatican passports.

At least he is there to answer questions. Every time the crab is asked questions she runs away.

I see roger is still fantasizing about Yingluck. Good luck with that mate, must be nice to have something to dream about, although you did not set the bar very high ! clap2.gif

In a democracy everyone has a right to express an opinion. If he thinks Yinluck is a stupid women then he has the right to say it and vice versa.

For sure; there are plenty of stupid men in parliament!

The title of this article is so mis-leading. What a waste!

I totally agree.

All of us here know what people are referring to when they mention the "stupid woman" comment, but to create a headline saying that the comment caused "anger and apology in the British Parliament" is nothing less than sensationalist journalism...!
