chester9999
Hi, I'm living up in Chiang Mai (for lots of years now). My shoulder has recently developed a kind of bony protrusion which looks weird and is unsettling. I saw an a orthopedic specialist here in CM and he said if there no pain, don't worry about it. I really don't think there are any other good orthopedic specialists to get a second opinion from here, so I would like to find one in BKK. How would I go about finding someone 'good' and hopefully recommended in BKK? Any information would be helpful as I know nothing about BKK or hospitals/specialists there. And if you have ever had any experience with one, could you please reply with their details and your experience? Thank you. PS Mods, can you please not move this to the health forum - I would really like response from people living in BKK.
phetphet
You could go to one of the big hospitals, and ask to see an orthopode. If you go to Bumrumgrad Hospital's website, you can look up a specialist, check his training and experience etc, and even book an appointment to see him/her. http://www.bumrungrad.com/en/search-for-a-thailand-doctor

Bpuumike
Don't know what Johnds99 means by Sukhumvit hospital? I found an excellent ortho specialist at the Samitivej Sukhumvit Soi 49, but can't find his card. It was random, I walked in and asked to see an ortho specialist and only had to wait an hour. I have 2 good friends in the UK who are ortho specialists so have a good idea how to compare. He will want an X-ray as a first step but the whole thing not expensive. Have used the Samitivej for the last 30 years and find a good personal service. The Big B seems more like a factory to process as many patients as possible. Good luck

Was happy with price and service.
