What to do in the rain

Featured Replies

OK folks, as it says. I have my family over and it looks like the rain is here to stay. Any suggestions of what to do?

What about a nice long lunch in a good restaurant - followed by an afternoon nap, and then maybe a massage, and then hope the rain has stopped by then?

Generally all kind of pampering, which is really cheap here compared to western world.

Massage, spa, face lift for whole family, VIP seats and treatment at the movies.

If there are kids involved and they come from colder climate (and they think it's still hot in here), water park could be one possibility.

Use one day to drive around the island. Show them the wild monkeys, water buffaloes, horses and small villages.

Don't forget to show them the vegetarian festival, rain or no rain.

If they are female, just drop them off at a shopping mall. Never fails; just make sure there is a good watering hole located somewhere nearby...

Maybe a tailored suit or dress fitting.

thinking outlets also....... very slowly

Visit the Phuket Harrolds, aka main Super Cheap. It's currently not hot and there is only small chance for it it catch fire with all this rain. :)

Take them to one of the saunas in Chalong (or other locations). Is Orawan sauna in Kata still operational?

If they are not up to rafting like falkan suggested, then take them to look some of the various waterfalls on the island.

not rafting types, bu supercheap could be a giggle!

I always take first time visitors to SuperCheap and they are invariably blown away by it...

A Thai cooking lesson can be funny.

Not a bad idea - but im a chef! that could end badly..........

Might sound ridiculous, but when's the last time they have had a dental check up?

I don't know where they are from, but it's probably a lot cheaper here than in their own country.

Not exactly a pleasant holiday thing to do, but very practical.

My family preferred central to jungceylon for shopping, no problem with the weather
