Popular Post genghis5
Hi, this is my first post & I thought you may want to know.I have just had a house built & I wanted a European Kitchen. I went to Home Pro in Buriram with a plan & a rough idea of what I wanted. I went back a week later to see what they had come up with. The kitchen they had designed was not bad, but there were a few things they could not do, & using standard units they had to use fillers to fill any spaces. They then gave me a price of 250,000b which was for their premier range. When I told them that was way to high they came down to 160,000b for a kitchen with cabinets made of 16mm instead of 19mm,& with 3mm backs, & also thinner tops. They also told me, even though I was buying the sink & electrical appliances from them, I would have to pay extra for them to fit. I said I would think about it. I had seen the ad for Ice Furniture on another forum site, so I went to see them. With Ron, being English, there was no problems with communication. I told him what I wanted & gave him a plan of the Kitchen. He & one of his staff came out to the house to measure, & I then went back a few days later to have a look at what they had come up with. After changing a few things, the design was everything I wanted. Also, with making their own kitchens, they can make any size cabinets,& doors, so there are no empty spaces to fill. They also have a vast range of different laminate for the doors to choose from, so we could get the doors we really wanted, & all the cabinets were made of 19mm. When he gave me a price of 110,000b which I accepted, I told him then of the price from Home Pro & asked why such a difference in his price & Home Pro. They make everything here in Buriram so there is no middle man, he said. He gave me a months waiting time, but it was ready in 2wks. The fitters were a bit slow, but as he said, he would prefer they do a good job, than to rush & have to go back to fix the problem. I could not fault the fitting & they even fitted the sink & the electrical appliances for free. They don’t just make Kitchens, they make fitted bedrooms, walk in closets, sofa’s, curtains & much more, so with the money I’ve saved I can afford a bedroom suite from there. Sorry to go on for so long but I can’t speak more highly of both Ron & his lovely wife Kalong at Ice Furniture.
Patronus
How many metres did you need to cover ? I have a 5 metre run of cupboards/worktops plus I need 3 double wall units. I am content with the lower end of Homepro's range and the price works out at less than 40,000 Baht.

Popular Post sprog1
Are you sure you are not Ron? Genghis is definitly not me. It was not until I had a phone call from a friend, that I knew anything about the post, but I don't expect some people to believe that, he is just ANOTHER VERY satisfied customer. We've been in business in Buriram for over 10yrs now, & unlike some people I don't need to post anything to get myself or our shop noticed, but I would like to say a big thank you to Mr Genghis for taking the time & trouble to post his letter Edited October 12, 2013 by sprog1
