Motorcycle license questions

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have a few questions regarding getting a license here.

1. Does anyone know if I can I use the tabien baan (the yellow one issued to foreigners) instead of the address certificate from the embassy/immigration when applying for a motorcycle license?

2. If I already have a Thai Driving License (recently renewed and got the 5 year one) do I still need to issue the medical certificate?

3. Has anyone had experience with the Yamaha or Honda driving schools? I'm new to motorcycles and looking for a school, but my Thai is quite limited, would it be a problem with these school? (I live in Bangkok).

Thanks for your help.

Thai riding school are fine and really they know biking terms like stop, go, brake, clutch ao language is not a barrier.

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

No on #2 if you are in the Pattaya area. They only require the med certificate the 1st time around. At least in Pattaya DLT
