Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
There are way more countries with ww income taxation then countries with territorial taxation. Nearly the whole of Europe taxes ww income. Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia also at least according to their tax laws. I think you are confusing ww income taxation with taxing their citizens regardless if they are tax residents in said country. Only Erithrea and US tax their citizens on ww income even if they live abroad. -

I am seriously thinking about not renewing my marriage extension this year.
@bob smith you have made countless whiny posts like this one whilst promising to quietly leave Thailand, but yet you never do. Not even for a London minute. Why is that? So, FFS, stop the moaning, get on with it already and just go. Pick any of your beloved sh*tholes (Laos/Cambodia/Nam/Bali/Phils) and I'll gladly pay for all your visas. Now, let's finally be done with this. Good riddins. -

UK Thai embassy issues warning amid anti-immigration protests
No, as I wrote above the figure of £36,000,000,000 is the total of unpaid tax not received by HMRC (in 2022) - through evasion, errors and other criminal attacks (I don't know what 'criminal attacks' means here, this is HMRC's wording). The largest percentage of this unpaid tax (by far) is from small businesses, which is where my confusion came from. I apologise for the confusion and I'm glad you have pointed it out. Nevertheless, that the amount of £36,000,000,000 is 'lost' to HMRC is true and correct. And the point of that big number was to use it as context to other big numbers being talked about. It is true that the UK spends £8 million a day housing asylum seekers. It is also true that this is 0.25% of the UK's daily spend (link below). I appreciate some people may feel that spending 0.25% of our daily budget is too much, but it is clearly not the main reason for the UK's financial problems. (Calculated as a daily percentage of the government's yearly spend of £1200 billion see here: https://ifs.org.uk/taxlab/taxlab-key-questions/what-does-government-spend-money#:~:text=The government spends huge amounts,to around 45% of GDP) -

Do you really think that any troll factory is interested in posting at such a small place? It would definitely be a waste of money. -

Clear from day 1
Foolish in the extreme. The idea that you think Russia will have won if they do that. Do you think even for a moment before you wrote that? They are hardly going to win hearts and minds if they go nuclear in Ukraine. Remember the point was to absorb Ukraine by installing their own people. That has failed. But no doubt they hope to regroup and to keep trying. If politically doesn't work, then militarily. This is what is occurring, over and over. The other side is working to dissuade them. Right now it's shuffling pieces on the board as a prelude to negotiations. -

Weak water flow and pressure
Use at least a 1” pipe, preferably a 1½” for all the pipes, this is to minimise friction losses. FWIW a ½” has about 80 x the loss than a 1½” one, have as few elbows as possible and 2 x 45o is better Thai 1 x 90o -
